Just ran across this old photo (1995) of Bob Ellsworth, my wife and I having dinner with Bobby Fischer at the Hotel Sacher in Vienna. The Hotel Sacher is of course, the home of the original Sacher-Torte. It was invented in 1832 by Franz Sacher. In 1876, Franz son Eduard Sacher, founded the Hotel Sacher in Vienna.
The next day Bobby broke his hard and fast rule and played a game of chess with my wife in the lobby of our hotel on his pocket chess board.
She lost.
Took Mark to meet Buzz Aldrin at the LA World Affairs Council meeting in Century City. Aldrin is signing his new book "Magnificent Desolation" or is their life after a moon walk? Interesting book and exciting moment for Mark.
